1. Reels and TikTok style videos are still working well in most accounts.
Mobile first video - shot on a phone, from the customer perspective, using captions and text overlays that look native can help performance.
2. Static images with simple hooks overlaid as text on the images - calling out the persona and benefit can still work incredibly well and we are seeing statics have a comeback lately.
3. It’s not about creating new creative every single week - sometimes simply iterating on ads that performed well, or could perform better, gives more bang for your buck than reinventing the wheel with new creative every week. Look to improve hook or hold rate by looking at the video view data in your account, and use that to improve what you are seeing.
4. Keep it simple, stupid. Make each creative be about one core message to one core persona, don’t try to get across all the benefits in one ad.
5. Seasonal relevance - it’s important to always be relevant to the customer and where they are now - are they heading into spring? How does your product fit into their life now? Be aware if you advertising internationally that the seasons are different in other hemispheres!
6. Mashup ads are a great way to make use of your UGC and founder videos - you can have fast cuts of customers saying your selling points, plus your founder talking and then show people using the product and scroll through reviews. This kind of crazy-good social proof is extremely convincing and converts well.
