3 Tips To Get Your eCommerce Ad Costs Down

Things have been busy over here at Webtopia HQ and I haven’t been writing as many of my ‘tips’ blogs as I like to.

So I have decided to try something new and write shorter, but very ACTIONABLE tips.

Here’s the first one and it’s all about reducing your ad costs.

If your ad performance seems a little less effective than usual - you are not alone!

Remember - warm weather often deflates online demand and, coupled with some of the macro-economic forces going on out there, a slowdown in growth is to be expected.

Here are a few things you can do to bring down your ad costs:

1. Great creative:

If your ads stand out in the newsfeed, and are super relevant to your target audience, this leads to a great click-thru-rate (CTR). Meta then rewards you with cheaper CPMs (cost-per-impressions)!

2. Broaden your targeting:

Go for big 10% lookalikes stacked together or large, broad interest audiences.

3. Broaden your placements:

The more you restrict the algorithm, the higher your ad costs!

And remember - the path to the top is a wavy line.  Stay focussed on the bigger goal and don't sweat the small stuff!

To your (low cost) ads success!
