Changes To Instagram Navigation:
Starting in February, Instagram’s navigation will be updated to make it easier for people to share and connect with their friends and interests. The navigation bar at the bottom of the app will now have the shortcut for creating content in the centre and reels to the right. This also means the shopping tab on this will be removed.
Will this affect your business on Instagram?
YouTube’s Fancy New Ways To Track Shorts:
With Shorts more likely to go viral and earn subscribers, there is a good reason for YouTube to keep announcing new features. This week, they announced a range of new analytics and display options including data on subscriber growth, Shorts thumbnails, new subscriber recognition options, and more.
Apple Business Connect:
This free tool allows you to customise how your brand information appears across Apple’s apps. You can do this by managing all information directly in the interactive Apple Maps card, including adding photos and logos and inviting customers to take actions like ordering food.

Third-Party Twitter Apps Banned?:
A long list of third-party Twitter clients, including Tweetbot, Twitterific, Echofon, and Fenix aren’t working. The apps, which all rely on access to Twitter’s application program interface (API) to get data, have been facing issues since last week.
Common Mistakes Companies Make With Marketing:
In 2022, Cory Dobbin managed $100MM in ad spending and along the way, he found common mistakes that companies made that prevented them from succeeding. Read the thread below for tips from the CEO of Shoelace.
Improvements To Google Analytics 4:
The new options help you analyse how individual items perform but also track information about all your services and eCommerce interactions. This addition gives you more input into your store performance. Sounds great for eComm advertisers!
That’s all for this week, enjoy your weekend and next week I will be back with more juicy updates for you!
