eComm Weekly Round-Up | Facebook ad hacks, high-converting copy frameworks, & Performance Max Experiments | 27 Jan 23
Welcome back to another week of Webtopia’s eComm news! Again, we are definitely not short of stories for you.
This week read up on Google's Performance Max experiments, Instagram’s Quiet mode, and hacks to get more from your Facebook ads.
Podcast Of The Week:
This week I chatted with Oliver Palmer - Oliver has over 10 years of experience in eCommerce. He is an advisor and consultant for eCommerce leaders seeking to accelerate growth with better customer research.
Why customer research beats best practice CRO tactics
Amazon Sunsetting AmazonSmile:
The AmazonSmile program allows shoppers to donate a percentage of purchases to their charity of choice. But Amazon plans to wind down AmazonSmile by 10 February 2023. Instead, they will continue to pursue and invest in other areas where they have seen they can make meaningful change.
Say Hello To Performance Max Experiments:
Google is slowly rolling out its experiments feature to their Performance Max tool. The addition of Performance Max Experiments could be a big upgrade to your ad performance so it may be worthwhile checking it out.
Instagram Introduces Quiet Mode:
‘Quiet mode’ aims to help users focus and set boundaries with friends and followers. This new feature is part of their ongoing work to ensure people have experiences that work for them, and that they have more control over the time they spend online and the types of content they see.
Jake Abrams On Creative, High Converting Copy Frameworks:
After analysing the Facebook ad libraries of 75+ DTC brands, Jake Abrams found 3 copy frameworks that are the most creative, high-converting (and that you can also steal and scale with ChatGBT).
Twitter’s Update To Bookmarks:
The Bookmark button has been added to the lower function display when you expand a tweet. This, ideally, will get more people using the option, which Elon personally views as a ‘silent Like’, and another measure of engagement with tweets.
Hacks To Get More From Your Facebook Ads:
From conversion configurations to audience targeting to creative optimizations, advertisers have a long list of options for scaling and improving Facebook ad campaigns. Get a better return on your ad spend with these.
And that concludes this week’s eComm news. Enjoy your weekend!
