eComm Weekly Round-Up | Youtube Analytics, Facebook Ads & LinkedIn’s Big Ideas | 6 Jan 23
First and foremost, happy new year! While all of us were off relaxing and enjoying the holidays… I can assure you, there are still no shortages of updates in the eCommerce world.
Over the past couple of weeks, YouTube announced a number of updates, Twitter announced adjacency controls, and TikTok to become the main advertising platform for agencies.
Let’s dig right in…
Twitter Announced Adjacency Controls:
If you run Twitter ads, then this feature should help you prevent your ads from appearing above or under tweets containing keywords that you’d rather avoid. This means that you can have more control over where your ads are placed so that you can protect your brand.
Get Your Facebook Ads Working For You In 2023:
With the average Facebook ad cost declining, now is the perfect opportunity to focus on your Facebook ad strategy. This article will tell you which metrics to consider to make smart decisions for Facebook ad campaigns that work.
YouTube Analytics Updates:
Last week, YouTube announced a number of feature launches, experiments, and expansions. I think the most exciting update for creators is the ability to add filters, stickers, and text to images directly from the YouTube app! Watch the video below to find out about quiz posts, metrics, emotes, image posts, and more.
Facebook Facilitating Reels Creation Within The App:
Meta’s adding yet another way to get users to share Reels on Facebook – even if they don’t have their own video content to upload to the app. This new feature will automatically create reels from stories, photos, and videos that you have already shared.
Agencies Plan To Focus On TikTok:
Even with economic certainty, marketers are still looking to digital video, retail media, social media, and the metaverse as priorities this year. Experts believe that advertising dollars invested in TikTok will increase due to agencies diverting dollars towards it from other platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
LinkedIn’s Updates For 2023
The platform has announced new features that will be rolled out within the year. Timer Cohen, the Chief Product Officer of LinkedIn has given some insight into what they are building and why. Read the article to understand video captions, scheduling, AI creativity, and more.
